About Me and My Work
What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
We provide nonprofits, coalitions and other charitable groups with practical hands-on help in assessing, developing and articulating the meaning that makes you givable. We’re particularly interested in helping to assess and strengthen your capacity and your impact as we believe that this is the substance of givability. We offer a range of services including but not limited to mission/vision/values development; board and organizational capacity assessments; board development; and funder and constituent feedback.

Kate Shirah brings 20+ years leadership to organizational, community and systems-change efforts focused on improving people’s lives, strengthening nonprofits and developing community assets. Her breadth of experience spans the philanthropic sector, local and state government, and higher education. Kate's current role as a part-time executive director for a family foundation and her nonprofit board service ensures an approach grounded in real-world know-how. Kate holds a BoardSource Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting.
