About Me and My Work
What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
I thrive in supporting nonprofits in the adolescent phase of their life cycle or those with annual budgets of $1 million-$5 million, I work with nonprofits on all aspects of building their boards and the relationship between board and staff. As one of only 80 BoardSource Certified Governance Consultants, I have knowledge on national trends in governance and practices of high-performing boards. I am particularly sensitive to the relationship between board chairs and their executive directors as well as empowering boards with the confidence and tools to raise money for their organizations. I am a proponent of board self-assessments and like to facilitate dialog so board members reflect on their service and develop plans to strengthen their service.
Larger nonprofits often hire me to serve as an executive coach for their C-suite while smaller to mid-sized nonprofits hire me to coach their executive directors and/or board chairs.
Lastly, my firm is often hired to conduct organizational assessments with recommendations used separately or as part of a larger strategic planning process.
