About Me and My Work

What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
Success happens with deep understanding, careful planning and thoughtful execution. Crowder Consulting works collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals. We listen, we research, and we develop and implement high-impact strategies for public affairs and government relations. Clients benefit from our keen insights and superior relationships, based on years of high-level policy-making and political engagement, and coupled with a real understanding of issue advocacy.

No organization operates in a vacuum. Legislation and regulation can create boundaries or it can provide opportunities. Public perception does become reality. Crowder Consulting has the experience, the relationships and the skills to make sure your organization operates in an environment of success. We are a public affairs and government relations firm deeply committed to our clients’ success.
Why would someone choose to work with you?
Courtney honed his skills in a range of public affairs and government relations positions. He counseled corporate, nonprofit and governmental organizations while at Capstrat, North Carolina’s premier strategic communications firm. No stranger to the political arena, Courtney has played an active role in a host of campaigns at every level – presidential, statewide, congressional and local.

Courtney holds B.A. degrees in English literature and French from North Carolina Central University and an M.A. in liberal studies from Duke University. He also studied at Oxford University in Oxford, England where he completed the Program of History, Politics and Society at Exeter College.
