Helping nonprofit, community and elected leaders navigate, facilitate, and communicate more effectively within their organizations and across their communities.
What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
I consult with people working in public purpose organizations -- nonprofit and public sector organizations. I center my work on helping clients develop good board governance practices; engage their community stakeholders; understand public-values differences and decisions; engage in systems change and collective impact initiatives; conduct organizational assessments to inform capacity building, strategic planning and navigation; envision the future with their community; plan for executive and board officer succession and leadership transitions; make better data informed decisions.
Why would someone choose to work with you?
I believe in taking an appreciative approach with my clients and their consulting needs, building on their strengths and using data and information as a lantern to illuminate opportunities and strategic course corrections. I believe our work together should be both enjoyable and productive. People have greater capacity to work together to create their preferred future when they feel appreciated and believe they are working in concert with one another. I design engagements to be positive and productive experiences for all participants.
