About Me and My Work
Why would someone choose to work with you?
I have over 20 years of director level experience in the nonprofit sector and love sharing that hands on experience with clients who are looking for a short term or long term partner. I have dedicated my career to helping families believe in a brighter future for themselves and motivating others to invest and engage to build a stronger and more stable community. I have gained many valuable transferable skills and proficiencies and earned an esteemed network of friends and professional contacts. All of this learning and wealth of resource development, I share with my clients.
I was raised on a tobacco and livestock farm in the mountains of Western North Carolina with two parents and seven siblings. From this humble upbringing, I pride myself in a having strong core values of integrity, work ethic, teamwork, and being lifelong learner. From my family and career opportunities I have some guiding beliefs: giving voice to the powerless, promoting the development of all people - starting with children and protecting the elderly; having the courage to take risks; working and participating collaboratively across all lines of diversity. I believe in showing up in an authentic and honest way. I enjoy working with down to earth folks who want to do things in a brave and quality way to make a positive impact.
