What kinds of projects, tasks, or challenges do you typically partner with nonprofits on?
I support nonprofits to organize for maximum impact. I help organizations decide how to use their resources for systems change through planning and advocacy:
This means we can work together on:
- Policy and/or political analysis
- Developing or refining policy statements and advocacy agendas
- Strategic planning to imagine systems change and organize for maximum impact
- Designing and/or managing a campaign or advocacy project
- Designing a political campaign rooted in community organizing
Policy is about a lot more than elected leaders or changing laws. I love to help organizations see all the levers they might press to advance their cause. While I have dabbled in many areas of public policy, I have specific expertise in human services, K-12 education, and childcare.
Why would someone choose to work with you?
"The most organized person I know."
"She runs the best run meetings I've ever attended."
- folks who know me well
I am a recovering local elected official, a former educator, and a policy nerd who believes in the power of community organizing and collective impact, and I will help you figure out how to channel your resources to make great impact in your mission area.
I am a trained facilitator and coach, and I know that facilitation has to be intentional and well-done - this is where many initiatives fail and teams fall apart. I will bring intentionality and focus to the important conversations that will move your organization forward.
